From Seat 1A: Ninfa's on Navigation, Houston, TX, United States
International lawyers travel… a lot. Our President, Antonio Valla, has the privilege of travelling the world representing our valued clients. Along the way he has enjoyed a variety of cuisines and restaurants from Michelin starred to street stalls. Clients and colleagues often ask him for recommendations, so we at V&A thought that this blog, From Seat 1A, would be an interesting and useful read. Buonappetito!
HOT IN HOUSTON! I'm not sure of the exact definition of Tex-Mex, but I do know I like it! If you happen to be in Houston, Texas, avoid that city's often rote food scene (overpriced steakhouses, for starters), and head directly to Ninfa's on Navigation - the original location. Since 1973, it is the place that locals go to for great food, flowing margaritas, cold beer, and friendly, charming and thoroughly bilingual service (ask to be seated in Oscar's section, in the inside of the restaurant, not far from the kitchen, and he'll add his suggestions and good humour to the overall experience). At Ninfa's, I had not only the best fajitas of my life, but also their trademark specialty, tacos al carbon. Don't miss the queso flameado, as an appetizer to share. Leave room for dessert, if you can; I have never been able to. Reservations recommended. Easy parking (they just resurfaced the parking lot, so no more puddles). www.ninfas.com
